Chris and his two sons enjoyed catching some of our big resident summer stripers on the Pamlico River. We are very fortunate on the Inner Banks to have the ability to catch stripers year round on light tackle. Our peak fishing occurs during the spring (March pre-spawn mid-May-mid-June post spawn) and in the fall from Oct. 1st (when the keeper season comes back in) to the December holidays. This is my favorite type of fishing. I specialize in targeting these stripers on topwater baits, and the topwater action can be nothing short of phenomenal. Give me a call for more info on a fall topwater striper charter out of Washington.
