We’ve officially begun our winter striper season on the lower Roanoke River. It’s off with a bang, as we ventured up there yesterday for the first trip of the season. Let’s just say there are plenty of fish there. Mike, Hawk, and Jay were on em about as good as you can expect. Hawk had a little bit of an off day and was also being a bit camera shy, but he did a great job monitoring the beer cooler while all of us caught em. Once we found them, we sat there and caught over 100 in about 2 hours. It wasn’t quite every single cast but it was at least every other cast. Right now, the fishery is living up to what is known for. Hopefully it’s a sign of what’s to come this January and February. If you haven’t tried this, you should. For those of you who have been with me in years’ past, you might want to think about scheduling a trip in the next week or two. A fishing trip would be a great way to spend some time with family members over the holidays.

BENT POLE X 100 = FUN!
