Winter Striper Fishing is Red Hot

This past week has produced consistently good fishing. We’ve been catching anywhere from 40-80 fish per outing, which is exactly what we want. I’m sure we’ll be seeing some 100 fish days very soon. This past week, the fish have really made a big push into the lower river, which is where we like them. There are still tons of fish out in the sound, but getting out to them on a daily basis can be a challenge with the winter weather. Yesterday I hosted long-time fly clients Tracy and Peter, and once we found the right school, we were wearing them out on nearly every cast. We ended with around 80 for our 6 hour 3/4 day trip. Everything is shaping up just as expected for January, so give us a call to get out and experience North Carolina’s best winter fishery.

Upcoming openings: Jan. 16-18, 21-23, 27-31 Let’s get after them!
