Red Hot Shad and Striper Fishing

The winter fishing is just like it should be, if you even want to call it winter fishing. It feels more like April to me. The weather has been outstanding, the water temp has been up in the mid to high 50’s, which has made the fishing really good. The hickory shad bite was good yesterday, and the striper bite was good today. Connie and Phil were visiting from the mountains and wanted to check out our river striper fishing on the coast. They were not disappointed. We ended up releasing about 75 in a 4 hour 1/2 day excursion. Ya can’t beat that.

The weather looks like it will be great for the foreseeable future, so let’s get out there. I have had a cancellation, and have next Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 open. Next openings are Mar. 6, 12, 14, 16, 21, 26, 28.
